Quick Note

This has been a very hard week.  I never really recovered from the weekend & then we went down the hill.  My schedule this week never allowed any real "down time" & so i'm pretty well spent.  Migraine & exhaustion have ruled the week, but i've still had to be up & functioning.

My ILs are due to arrive in the next hour.  Nina is here helping me.  I've spent the AM resting while she cleans.  I will HAVE to limit what i do this week or i will have to cancel going down the hill next week.  I'm rather anxious about this weekend, for i know i've not much more to give.  My ILs have never seen how i struggle with disability & i've worked hard at that because i don't think they will understand.  This weekend may change their view of me.

I never responded to comments in the last post.  Please know that i read them & appreciated them, but i've just not had any extra this week to give.  I so appreciate when you take the time to let me know you were here.  :)

Hope y'all have a great weekend.  If you are praying people, you can keep me in your prayers.  I'm hoping we can still have some fun!  I'm only planning on making 2 meals.  The rest we will eat out.

how exhausting. on top of the fact that you have to worry if their view of you will change. i think that any inlaws should be somewhat understanding with whatever ails you. they will need to be. it's just the way it is. rest up and have a terrific time.

Some people will never be satisfied no matter what you do. But I do hope your ILs express their apreciation for you .
Take care Kathy

Hi, I just found your blog, I like it a lot.

I also have CFS and migraines. I appreciate the info you have posted here. I look forward to reading more.

Blessings.

It sounds like you are having a rough time and I can sympathise with that. Migraines are so hard on the system and I don't think people realise how badly they can affect you for days after the obvious symptoms have gone. hope you feel more yourself soon.

Thank you all for your sweet support.

Just Me (i wish i knew your name!) - i hope they will be understanding & i may be short changing them to think they wouldn't be. But they both are horrible gossips & even if they are supportive, i don't like the idea of the things they'll say to the family. I guess i just need to accept that, too.

Amrita - you're right, some folks are never content. I don't think my ILs are like that & i do think they appreciate coming to stay with us. It is just very interesting to find that despite the fact that we spend a lot of time together (we stay with them in OC 2 nights a week), we have little in common & our values aren't very similar, either.

Lorie - thanks for finding me & letting me know about it! I like your blog, too. I know i certainly related to your last post.

Hi Bob-Kat, yes the past 8 months or so have been much harder. I don't know why. I think that people who don't have chronic illness don't understand how difficult dealing with a chronic issue can be. Thanks for the well-wishes. :)
