Please Pray

This requires a separate entry all its own.

Dear friend John died yesterday.  He'd had a long battle with cancer.

Duane & i were so honored to be able to meet them in person (online friends) & have a lovely visit with them last summer.

We so enjoyed meeting them.  They are both very fun people & we were so pampered with their Southern hospitality.

Please keep dear friend Dawn in your prayers.  The coming weeks are bound to be very difficult for her.

I'm sorry to read this. They definitely look like a fun and loving couple. I will pray for Dawn right now.

I am sorry to hear that and of course my prayers are with her. My mother-in-law just got done doing the treatments for breast cancer at the age of 77 and boy I felt soooo sorry for her, she had such a horrible time of it!

Oh, I'm sorry Kathryn! We always want those battles to end with a victory. Perhaps it still is, in a different way. But I'm sorry you lost a friend, and Dawn lost something more than a friend.

Although, I suppose it isn't loss, not really. Just someone gone ahead, not be met again until this life has passed into memory.

Thank you all. I've not talked to Dawn since this happened. I've seen some messages. Right now i think she's got a lot of help & support, but usually, after a couple of weeks, that goes away & the person will be left on their own.

I'm sure she'd appreciate all the prayer she can get. I ache for her.

Death, partly, does get me excited, strange as that sounds. I ache for Dawn, but, oh what joy John has now! He is in the presence of God! :) It is just so hard for the ones left.

So, so sorry about the loss of your friend. Indeed, it's great when death can be a celebration of someone's life and especially their eternal life. But so sad for those who will miss them.
