Glad you are having a good time with Eva. Have lots of fun.I 'll go over and read the response
I'm also glad you've been having such a fun, memory-making time with Eva. That's wonderful, Kathryn. Of course, you're tired. Not just from the activities though, I went and read the letter. Oh Kathryn, I'm so sorry. More than anything that must have just hurt, and been so dispiriting. Please understand that it is about their failings, and pride. Not yours. I know we've talked briefly about this in the past, but there are a lot of reasons I stopped going to church, God and the teachings of Christ were not among those reasons. Religion is sometimes misused, not always, and it certainly says nothing about the people practicing religion. It's just...it is sometimes misunderstood, and misused. So you know I was raised in a church, and one for which I have tremendous fondness to this day, but what struck me on reading the letter sent to you was that it was written by people of religion, not people adhering to the teachings of Christ in that moment. They may be good people all, but that was not one of their finer moments. I'm so sorry you and Duane have been hurt. I hope you find a better fit for you, as it is clear church is a very important part of your life, and your faith. But wherever you go, or whatever you do, you take the most important parts of church with you, you take your faith.
I'm sorry I haven't visited in so long, I love your blog - you're such a wonderful, genuine person. I have to read this letter, I'm sure I'll have steam coming from my ears afterwards.Glad that you are having fun, we'll all still be here when you return with lots of lovely photos! ((HUGS))
