My favorite folks ! :)

Create?

Gitz is one of my favorite bloggers.  She is uplifting & upbeat & up about everything.  :)

She's begun a "You : Create" series, today is the first day.  So here are some pics.

I've shared these before.  They are a project i'm working on, but haven't gotten very far with yet.  (I did try to sew one of the bottom ones up.  Utter disaster.  Going to have to work at it harder.)

The only other thing i can create today is playing with Photoshop Elements & seeing what i can do with this squirrel.  I took this pic a week or so back as this little guy was  sitting on the deck nomming down an almond.  (I just realized this is Mister Three Paws.  He is missing his R hind paw, but seems to get around just fine.  In fact, he is "top squirrel" of the very competitive squirrel community.)

These started to all look the same to me, especially in thumbnail.  But it was fun.  I need to learn how to use PSE more efficiently.

Go check her out & the other things folks have created.  :)

Eva is in So Cal (with Elsa).  They will arrive to be with us on Sunday AM.  Yeah!  :)

Ohhh, how fun! I love what you did to that squirrel! :)

Thanks, Mary. Your composition was simply lovely.

I think i like the last squirrel best.

To anyone else visiting from Sara/Gitz: I visited your blogs. Some of them had the type of comment section that won't let me sign in.

Love the quilt you're working on. Poor little squirrel. At least he's still nimble for being three legged.

Hi Prudy - thanks. :) It is actually quilted placemats & maybe a table runner. I'm not getting anywhere with it at the moment.

Mister Three Paws doesn't seem to notice his missing paw, & he doesn't spend any time feeling sorry for himself! He runs off all the other squirrels when he's around.

Sometimes i wish i was more like him. :)

People who quilt impress me immensely. I was in the musical Quilters, but that was as close as I ever got to sewing. :)

Playing around in Photoshop is a great idea for creating something. It's amazing how you can almost turn that squirrel into a paint-by-numbers canvas...

Great job on the quilt :) I know what kind of committment that is! My plan was to make a rag quilt this week for my post...but yeah, that didn't happen! LOL And I'm not smart enough to figure out photoshop! haha

Like your table runner. Are you stitching by hand?

All your photo editing is real fun.

I will visit Glitz too.

(popping over late from Gitz!)

I really like the 5th one down - makes it look like a canvas painting. Very cool texture! I can get LOST in Photoshop and spend hours working with it if I am not careful. Such a cool program that I really want to learn to use better too!

Oh and the quilting - gorgeous! I am super jealous of the skill. I hired a friend of mine to make a quilt as a gift once - it was so beautiful I wanted to keep it! :)

Fabulous quilt! And the photoshop stuff is so much fun to play with!! That's a great way to learn!

Hi Kaycee - thanks for stopping by. :) I am finding Photoshop so much fun. The quilt really isn't something . . . well, not bed size. It will only be a few place mats & i decided the top two are much too work-intensive. But i hope they turn out nice.

Hi Mandy. I stopped by your site & admired your scrapbook pages. I tried to leave a comment, but your site doesn't like me. (So many of them seem to not like me these days.) The shot of you & your husband in your profile is so sweet. :)

Nice to meet your alpha squirrel and real cool effects with Photoshop. I am thinking of getting that software too.
